Publisher Ruler Leaves Marks on Screen

Q138101

------------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher for Windows 95, version 3.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== When you use the rulers in Publisher, on rare occasions a ruler may seem to leave a mark the width of itself on the screen. This is sometimes referred to as a "ghost image" or "screen remnant." CAUSE ===== Screen remnants are sometimes caused by certain display drivers or by machines operating at slow speeds that take longer to refresh the display. RESOLUTION ========== Forcing a screen redraw will clean up the remnant. To force a redraw, click one of the Zoom buttons (either "+" or "-"), and then click the other one (that is, click "+" and then click "-" or vice versa).
