The scratch area in Publisher versions 1.0 and 2.0 is always white. The
scratch area in Publisher version 3.0 is based on the Application
Background color of your Windows color scheme. If you want to change the
color of the Publisher 3.0 scratch area, change your Windows color scheme.

To change the Application Background color in Windows 95, do the following:
1. Click the Windows Start button, point to Settings, and click Control
Panel.
2. Double-click the Display icon.
3. Click the Appearance tab.
4. From the Item list, select Application Background.
5. Choose the color you would like the scratch area to be.
6. Click OK.
To change the Application Background color in Windows NT, do the following:
1. Go to the Main program group and double-click the Control Panel icon.
2. Double-click the Color icon.
3. Click Color Palette.
4. In the Screen Element list, select Application Workspace.
5. Choose the color you would like the scratch area to be.
6. Click OK.
