SYMPTOMS

When installing Mastering Visual Basic 4.0, you may receive the error message:

Setup not completed successfully.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Mastering Visual Basic. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

RESOLUTION

Mastering Visual Basic 1.0 may already be running on the system. Close the Setup screen product before running Setup a second time.
