SUMMARY

When you apply page borders to a Word Processing document, the borders are not dependent upon the margins. Therefore, if you change the margins of your document, the page borders will not automatically adjust to account for the new margins.

MORE INFORMATION

By default, the page borders in Works are set at .75 inches from the edge of the page. To change this setting, follow these steps:

  1. On the Format menu, click Borders And Shading.
  2. In the Borders And Shading dialog box, click the Page tab.
  3. Under Distance From Page Edge, click the arrows to select new values in the Left/Right or Top/Bottom boxes. Then, click OK.
NOTE: This does not occur with borders around paragraphs. When you change the margins in Page Setup, the paragraph borders change as well.
