SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you print a project to an Apple StyleWriter 1200, 2200, 2400, or 2500 printer, your computer will hang, or the following error message will be displayed:
The application "unknown" has unexpectedly quit, because of an error of Type 1 occurred.
NOTE: This behavior does not occur on the Power Macintosh.

WORKAROUND

Install and use the Apple QuickDraw GX version of the SytleWriter printer driver.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
