FIX: Counter in Report Displays Incorrect Value

SYMPTOMS

Under certain conditions, a counter on a report does not display the correct count. You can display the counter expression by typing an expression and choosing the Count option in the Expression Builder.

This behavior occurs when a numeric variable, independent from the counter field, is displayed on the report, and the relative position of the variable is set to "Top-Field Can Stretch."

WORKAROUND

Modify the relative position of the numeric variable, and change it to "Top- Constant Field Height."

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visual FoxPro 3.0 for Windows.
