SUMMARYYou cannot send e-mail messages to addresses that include an exclamation point (!). For example, you cannot send an e-mail message to the following address:
tac!jms!smith@txttac.attmail.com MORE INFORMATIONIf you send e-mail to an address with an exclamation point, you receive a non-delivery message from the System Administrator stating "Mailbox not available." The Microsoft Network does not allow an exclamation point as part of an e-mail address. An exclamation point indicates path information within the recipient's internal e-mail system and is not part of Internet e-mail syntax. When someone sends you an e-mail message, the message header contains that person's valid e-mail address.
