SYMPTOMS
When you start any of the Microsoft products listed above, you
may receive an error message. If you click the Details button, you receive
the following error message
Microsoft <program name> caused an Invalid Page Fault in module
<Name>.drv
where <program name> is one of the products listed above and <Name>.drv is
the name of a video driver.
RESOLUTION
This error be caused by a reference to a Windows 3.x display driver in
the System.ini when you are actually using a Windows 95 display
driver. To check for an incorrect reference, do the following:
- Click the Start button, and then click Run.
- Type the following and press ENTER:
- Check the [Boot] section of the System.ini file for a line that
contains the following:
If looks like the above example, change it to the following:
- Check the [386enh] section of the System.ini for the following
line.
If the line is not present, add it.
MORE INFORMATION
When Windows 95 is pre-installed or upgraded from Windows 3.x.,
there is a slight chance that the Display.drv= line located in the
System.ini will not be properly set. If this line is still set to a
Windows 3.x video driver, it can cause problems in Microsoft Money 3.0 and
3.0a.
