ClipArt Gallery: Error Message When Files Added from Network

SYMPTOMS
========

If you add pictures from a network server to your ClipArt Gallery, and that
network server becomes unavailable, you will get an error message similar
to the following when you try to update the thumbnails in your ClipArt
Gallery:

   The ClipArt Gallery cannot find the following file:

   \\<Server>\<share>\Picture.cgm

   If you have removed this file from your hard disk, and you want
   to remove the preview from the ClipArt Gallery, choose Remove File.

   If you've moved the file, or its directory and you want to update
   the ClipArt Gallery with a new location, choose Browse.

If you click the Skip This File button, ClipArt Gallery will also skip
trying to find the other pictures in this same folder. However, this error
message will be displayed for each folder that is on the same unavailable
drive.

ClipArt Gallery should skip the entire drive if the drive is unavailable.

RESOLUTION
==========

To work around this problem, cancel the update to ClipArt Gallery until the
network server becomes available again.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in ClipArt Gallery version 2.0
for Windows 95. We are researching this problem and will post new
information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
