Instructions to Install the Patch

1. Quit Microsoft Project if it is running.
   
   Important: This utility will not work while virus detection software is running. You should disable all virus detection software before running the patch.
2. Double-click the Microsoft Project 4.0 Updater icon in the folder to which you downloaded this patch.
   
   You will be asked to locate Microsoft Project on your hard disk drive.
3. Locate Microsoft Project and click Update.

When the patch is successfully installed, a dialog box will appear with the message "Microsoft Project was updated successfully."

1. Q. Which version of Microsoft Project 4.0 is affected by this problem?
   
   A. This problem affects Microsoft Project 4.0 only when it is running on a Power Macintosh computer. If you are running Microsoft Project 4.0 on 68K Macintosh (a non-Power Macintosh), you do not need the update described in this article.
2. Q. What language versions of Microsoft Project 4.0 need this patch?
   
   A. This patch updates both the English and French language versions. The patch will automatically detect which language version of Microsoft Project you are using.
