SUMMARY
The Macintosh Performa series of computers come with a Macintosh Performa
CD-ROM. This disc contains a copy of the system software that is pre-
installed on the Performa.
In certain cases, it may be desirable to install a clean version of the
system software as a means of troubleshooting a problem. The Performa CD
does not allow you to perform a clean installation of the system software
in the same manner as System 7.5 (with System 7.5 and later, you can use
the SHIFT+COMMAND+K key combination to install a clean System Folder).
The disc that comes with the Performa restores the original installation of
the system software. This article provides information on how to perform a
clean installation of the system software.
