PUB3: Colored Text Saved Incorrectly in WordPerfect 5.x Format

SYMPTOMS
========

If you save all the text in a publication as a WordPerfect 5.x document,
text colors may be saved incorrectly. If you import this text file into
Publisher, Microsoft Word, or another word processor that can import
WordPerfect documents, the text colors may change.

This problem does not occur with black text.

CAUSE
=====

This is a problem with the WordPerfect text converter. If you export a Word
document in WordPerfect 5.x format, colored text may change also.

RESOLUTION
==========

Export the text in Rich Text Format (RTF). This format retains all the text
colors correctly.

STATUS
======

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in
the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
