Article ID: Q140528

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2.0 Cross-Development Edition for Macintosh

SYMPTOMS

As you debug a Macintosh application, the Disassembly window does not display symbols.

The Disassembly command on the Debug menu opens the Disassembly window, which then displays the assembly code associated with source code currently being debugged. When you view the assembly code for Intel-based applications, the disassembled code includes symbols. When you view the assembly code for Macintosh applications, the disassembled code doesn't include symbols.

For Intel-based applications, you can control the display of symbols by clicking Options on the Tools menu and toggling the Symbols option in the Debug tab.
