SUMMARY
On page 27 of the "Getting Results with Microsoft Office for Windows 95"
book that ships with Microsoft Office Professional version 7.0, step 1
contains information that is incorrect for the Windows NT Operating System.
The first paragraph of this step includes the sentence "Click the Install
Microsoft Office button and skip to step 4."
MORE INFORMATION
This information is correct if you are running Windows 95. When the CD-ROM
is inserted, the Autorun.exe command is run, and a menu comes up with
"Install Microsoft Office" as an option. However, if you are running
Windows NT, Autorun is not run, and you have to follow the same steps that
you would with a floppy disk installation: that is, you must run Setup.exe
from the root directory of the CD. The original manual that was shipped
with Office Professional (with Office Standard and the fulfillment voucher)
contains the correct steps.
