   Set dbs = OpenDatabase("Salary.mdb" _
        dbs.Connect = "ODBC;dsn=Accounting;uid=Dagny;"& _
        pwd=Bandit;database=Payroll;"
   dbs.Execute "Update UPDATE Employees SET Salary = Salary * 1.1;", _
        dbSQLPassThrough

The correct syntax for this example is shown below:
