Last reviewed: September 13, 1996
Article ID: Q140771
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 5.0
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows NT, version 5.0
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 5.0

SYMPTOMS

If you use the Menu Editor to remove the Options menu item from the Tools menu, and you then use the Menu Editor to restore all, all the menu items are restored except for the separator between the Options menu and the item above it. (If the Analysis ToolPak is not installed, this separtor falls between the Assign Macro command and the Options command.)

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, restart Microsoft Excel with the default menus.

MORE INFORMATION

The Menu Editor makes menus used with Visual Basic add-ins and procedures available for editing. From the Menu Editor dialog box, you can do any of the following:

  • Add new commands to existing menus.
  • Replace existing menu commands with your own commands.
  • Create new menus and menu bars.
  • Change or delete existing menus and menu bars.
