PUB: Extra Dots/Lines When You Select Rotated Text
Article ID: 140844
Article Last Modified on 8/17/2005
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Publisher 3.0 Standard Edition
This article was previously published under Q140844
SYMPTOMS
If you rotate a text frame and then select and cancel the selection of some
the text, unwanted dots or lines may appear between the lines of text.
These lines will stay visible until you scroll or zoom your page.
NOTE: These dots and lines are not printed when you print your publication.
CAUSE
When you rotate a text frame and then select some of the text, Publisher
has to rotate the highlight rectangle as well. When this rotated highlight
rectangle is displayed, there may be pixels between the lines of text that
are not colored with the highlight color. When you cancel the selection of
the text, these pixels may change to the highlight color.
RESOLUTION
If you zoom in or out, when you scroll to a different part of the page,
these pixels are displayed correctly.
STATUS
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here
