    Creation Date: 11-DEC-1995

The information in this article applies to:

    • Microsoft Access versions 7.0, 97

    SYMPTOMS

Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.

In Microsoft Access 7.0 and 97, the Save As Report command does not appear on the File menu in Form Design view as it does in earlier versions of Microsoft Access.

    CAUSE

To maintain consistency with other Microsoft Office programs, the Save As Report command is now located on the shortcut menu for forms in the Database window.

    RESOLUTION

To use the Save as Report command in Microsoft Access 7.0 and 97:

    1. In the Database window, click the Forms tab.
    2. Using the right mouse button, click any form.
    3. Click the Save As Report command on the menu that appears.

If you want the Save As Report command available in Form Design view, you can customize the Form Design toolbar to add the Save As Report button.

    STATUS

    This behavior is by design.
