PRB: BCP Default of smalldatetime Uses Jun 8, 1932 |
Q141164
When using only a time value for BCP inserts, BCP defaults the date to Jun
8, 1932. Inserting the same value via the INSERT statement uses Jan 1,
1900.
Example:
insert into tblSmall values ("10:20")
Produces: Jan 1 1900 10:20AM
BCP pubs..tblSmall in bcp.dat /Usa /P -c
Produces: Jun 8 1932 10:20AM
Use fully defined date and time values.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 4.21a.
