XL: Original PivotTable May Be Corrupted When It Is Copied

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel, when you copy a PivotTable, the original PivotTable may become corrupted.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use any of the following methods.

Method 1: Use the PivotTable Wizard to make a copy of the original

          PivotTable.

Method 2: Use the PivotTable Wizard to create a new PivotTable.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
