Works 95 Error: "Cannot Find a Required Hyphenation File"

SYMPTOMS
When you try to use the Hyphenation tool from a workstation installation of
Microsoft Works 4.0 or 4.5, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot find a required hyphenation file.
You chose the Hyphenation command and the required files are missing.
Run Works Setup to install the files.
Running Setup again does not correct the problem. This will occur if the workstation installation was performed from a server with an extended character in its path.
CAUSE
Performing a workstation installation from a server with an extended
character in its path prevents the hyphenation tool from working. For example, if the name of the folder on the server includes a tilde (~), you will experience this problem.
This error also occurs when the path to the Hyph32.dll and Hy_en.lex files
are incorrect in the registry. In this case, although the path is correct,
the hyphenation engine does not recognize the extended characters in the
path to the server, so it cannot find the files it needs.
RESOLUTION
- Run Maintenance Mode Setup and use the Remove All
option in the Workstation Installation of Works 4.0 or 4.5.
This will ensure that all unrecognizable registry entries are
removed.
- Rename the folder on the server that contains the extended character
to something without an extended character.
- Run the workstation installation again.

Extended characters include accented letters, graphic characters, and special symbols. Examples of extended characters include the umlaut (appearing as two dots placed above a vowel), circumflex (^), and accent grave (`), among many others.
