SUMMARY
When a server crashes, you can restore data from a backup to another
server. If the server is a member of the same domain, you can restore
security information on files and directories that have been restored from
backup using Windows NT Backup (NTBACKUP.EXE). However, the share
definitions are not restored.
This article explains how to restore share definitions using NTBackup and
the Registry Editor.
