SYMPTOMS
========
You can't run a network installation (setup /a) of Publisher for Windows 95
if you use the Publisher disks or CD-ROMs that are bundled with a computer.
If you try, you will receive the following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be
shut down.
If the problem persists, please contact the program vendor.
CAUSE
=====
Many brands of computers come bundled with Microsoft Publisher for Windows
95. The disks or CD-ROMs that come with these computers are a special
version of Publisher. These Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) versions
of Publisher have modified Help files, and network Setup has been disabled.
RESOLUTION
==========
If you have questions about obtaining a copy of Microsoft Publisher that
you can legally install on a network, please call the Microsoft Order Desk
