It is sometimes necessary to change the font information for labels that appear around Gantt bars in Microsoft Project.

To change a font, font style, or font color, use the method appropriate for your version of Microsoft Project.

Microsoft Project 98/2000 and Microsoft Project for Windows version 4.0, 4.1

  1. On the Format menu, click Text Styles.
  2. In the Item To Change box, and click any one of the following:
       - Bar Text Left.
       - Bar Text Right.
       - Bar Text Top.
       - Bar Text Bottom.
       - Bar Text Inside.
    					
  3. In the Font box, click the desired font. In the Size box, click the desired font size.
  4. Click OK.

Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 3.0a or 3.0 and Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 or 4.0

  1. On the Format menu, click Text Styles (or Text in Microsoft Project versions 3.0 and 3.0a).
  2. For a selected item to change, click either bar text left, bar text right, bar text top, bar text bottom, or bar text inside.
  3. In the Font box, click the desired font. In the Size box, click the desired font size.
  4. Click OK.
NOTE: If the font size you wish to use is not listed, try entering the number in the size edit field. For example, the font you select may show a size range from 8 to 72 points, but for TrueType fonts, you can use any number between 4 and 127.
