BUG: "Version Information Missing" When Changing Display Type

SYMPTOMS

In Control Panel/Disply/Change Display Type, Driver Information may display "Version Information Missing" for both the Manufacturer and the Version Numbers.

CAUSE

This is caused when the Language in Control Panel/International is set to any English version other than English (American) in Windows NT 3.5 or English (United States) in Windows NT 3.51.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT versions 3.5 and 3.51. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
