SUMMARY

In Microsoft Project, when you share resources from a common resource pool, you may end up with duplicate resources in your resource list.

MORE INFORMATION

In Microsoft Project, a resource can be assigned to no more than 1000 tasks (500 for version 1.0 and 1.1). This limit applies across project files when you share resources from a common resource pool. When a resource is shared, a duplicate resource name will appear in the Resource sheet if the number of tasks that the resource is assigned to exceeds 1000 tasks across the files sharing the resource pool.
