SYMPTOMS
When you insert a document that contains a bookmark in the header or
footer, you get a general protection (GP) fault (Windows), application
error (Windows NT), illegal operation (Windows 95), or Type 11 error
(Macintosh).
For example, in Windows 95, you receive the following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
When you click Details, you receive the following message:
Winword caused an invalid page fault in module Winword.exe at
0137:500ec2a4.
STATUS
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Word 97 for Windows and Microsoft
Word 98 Macintosh Edition.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, place the bookmarked text in the body of the
document instead of the header or footer.
