SYMPTOMS

When you set the SpecialEffect property of a text box to Shadowed, the vertical height of the typeable area of the text box is reduced.

RESOLUTION

You can adjust the Height property of the text box to increase the size of the typeable area.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 7.0 and

Steps to Reproduce Problem

Open the sample database Northwind.mdb.

Create a new form and open it in Design view.

Add a text box to the form and set the Name property to Text0.

Set the SpecialEffect property of the text box to Flat.

Set the ControlSource property of the text box as follows:

      = Test"
```
View the form in Form view. Note the size of the typeable area of the text box.
Switch the form to Design view, and change the SpecialEffect property of the text box to Shadowed. Note how the vertical height of the typeable area is reduced.
