SYMPTOMSWhen you try to establish a connection to the Internet using MSN, The Microsoft Network, as your Internet service provider, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot establish network connection. CAUSEThis error message may be caused by either of the following situations:
RESOLUTIONRemove and reinstall Dial Up Networking. To remove and reinstall Dial-Up Networking follow these steps:
and WINSOCK.DLL.7. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 8. Double click Network. 9. Remove all the network components. DO NOT RE-START! 10. Double click Add/Remove Programs. 11. Select the Windows Setup tab. 12. Double click Communications. 13. Remove the check from Dial Up Networking. 14. Close Control Panel and re-start the computer. 15. Right click on the MSN icon, choose Connection Settings. 16. Re-choose the access numbers. This should replace all the files. If this does not resolve the issue, the modem signal may be too low for the remote server to detect. To resolve this issue, use the following steps:
