Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Works for Windows version 4.0.
This problem was corrected in Works version 4.0a.
To fix the problem in version 4.0, you must correct a formula error in the
Mortgage Loan Analysis: Extra Payments spreadsheet, and then you need to
save the file as a Works template.
The formula in cell I17 adds total Extra Payments into the Total Cost cell.
In cell I17 the formula should read:
=IF(AND($E$14,$E$5,$E$6,$E$7),"",IF(AND($E$5,$E$6,$E$7),$E$18+$E$5,""))
You need to correct this formula, and then save the file as a Works
template.
To save a file as a Works template
- On the File menu, click Save As.
- Click the Template button.
- Type a name for the template. For example, you can call it Mortgage
Loan Analysis Template.
- Click OK.
To access the template, select it from the
User Defined Templates category on the
TaskWizard tab of the
Works Task Launcher.
