CAUSE

These problems may occur if the QuickTime (version 1.6.x) extension is in the extensions folder.

Microsoft Dinosaurs, Encarta 95 and Cinemania 95 only display the error message if both QuickTime (version 1.6.x) and QuickTime PowerPlug (version 2.x) are in the extensions folder.

RESOLUTION

For Ancient Lands, Music Central 1996, Dangerous Creatures, and Wine Guide for the Macintosh, use Method 1 to resolve the problem. To resolve the problem for Encarta 95, Cinemania 95, or Dinosaurs use either of the following methods.

Method 1

Replace QuickTime (version 1.6.x) with QuickTime (version 2.0).

Method 2

Remove QuickTime PowerPlug (version 2.0) and replace the program with QuickTime PowerPlug (version 1.0).

MORE INFORMATION

To install a different version of QuickTime or PowerPlug, use the system software installation disks or compact disc included with your computer.
