The DLI_FMT_INCREMENT bit in Unitool does not work as documented. The Unitool Help file describes that DLI_FMT_INCREMENT ought to work as follow:

DLI_FMT_INCREMENT - The printer downloads only those characters required to print a single job. If this box is not checked, the Unidriver downloads the entire character set to the printer for a given font.

Corrected:

If DLI_FMT_INCREMENT bit is set, the printer downloads only those characters required to print a single job. If it is not set, the printer still downloads only those characters required to print a single job. Due to printing performance reasons, Windows NT downloads only those characters required to print a single job.

Regardless of whether the DLI_FMT_INCREMENT bit is set or not, Windows NT will always download only those characters required to print a single job.
