SYMPTOMS
When you install the EasyBall version 1.0 driver, you may receive the
following error message:
An error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway click
ignore and save your work. To quit this program click close. You will
lose information you entered since you last started.
The dialog box containing this error message contains the word "Duckman"
in the title bar.
If you click Ignore, nothing happens. If you click Close, you receive the
following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
If problem persists, contact program vendor.
If you click Details, you receive the following error message:
Duckman caused a general protection fault in module Winmidd.exe.
At this time, the computer may stop responding (hang).
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, start the EasyBall Setup program again with
the following command:
setup /ND
The /ND switch causes Setup to run without the EasyBall hardware detection
process.
STATUS

in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
