SYMPTOMS
When you try to print to a LANtastic network printer, you may receive the
following error message:
Spool32 caused an invalid page fault in module WNPP32.DLL
CAUSE
This error can occur for either of the following reasons:
- The real-mode LANtastic drivers used the wrong syntax to capture a printer port.
- You may require an updated Lantnet.drv file from Artisoft.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, use the appropriate method:
- Edit the Startnet.bat file in the Lantasti folder and disable the
"net use lptx" statement. To do so, follow these steps:
- Use any text editor (such as Notepad) to open the Startnet.bat
file in the Lantasti folder.
- Type rem at the beginning of the net
use LPT1 statement.
- Save the Startnet.bat file and then close the editor.
- Restart your computer.
- To obtain the updated Lantnet.drv file, download the Lant6x.exe file
from Artisoft's BBS.
