SYMPTOMS

In an Office document, when you click Post To Exchange Folder on the File menu, any of the following messages may appear:

<Program> was unable to post your document.
General Microsoft Exchange failure. Check your Exchange installation and try again.
No shortcuts to public Microsoft Exchange folders were found.
Cannot find the folder called "Public Shortcuts Folder." Please connect to a Microsoft Exchange server to create this folder.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, manually copy the document to the Microsoft Exchange folder.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Exchange client that is included in Microsoft Windows 95. A workaround for this problem is included in Office versions 7.0a and 7.0b. If you are using Microsoft Project, a correction for this problem is included in Microsoft Project for Windows 95 version 4.1a
