IA: English Commands Using German, French, Italian Word

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you create a new document based on the Html.dot template, the commands on the drop-down menus appear in English instead of German, French, or Italian.

For example, the Edit menu in the German version of Word displays the following commands when you are using the Html.dot template: 


   Weiderholen: Neu...
   Copy Hyperlink
   Cut
   Koperieren
   Einfugen
   Paste Special...
   Clear
   Select All
   Find
   Replace...
   Go To...
   (AutoText...)
   Bookmark...


CAUSE

Internet Assistant uses many of the toolbar functions that are not localized and, as a result, it replaces the corresponding foreign language commands with English commands.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Assistant for Word, version 2.0z. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
