Repeated Double-Clicks Needed to Embed Project Object in Word

SYMPTOMS

Embedded Microsoft Project objects in Microsoft Word may require multiple double-clicks to activate.

WORKAROUND

To activate the embedded object from Microsoft Word, follow these steps:

  1. On the Edit menu, click Project Object.
  2. Click Open.
NOTE: This behavior does not occur with linked objects or objects created from a file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
