SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft SideWinder 3D Pro joystick, the throttle or slider control may not work in certain games.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the throttle works only while the mode switch on the SideWinder 3D Pro is in position one. This position causes the SideWinder 3D Pro to emulate a CH Flightstick Pro.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the CH Flightstick Pro setting or two-joystick input with games that support one of these settings.

MORE INFORMATION

If the game port on your sound card does not work properly with the SideWinder 3D Pro joystick and works only with analog joysticks, use the Joystick tool in Control Panel to change the joystick setting to CH Flightstick Pro and calibrate the SideWinder as a CH Flightstick Pro joystick.
