Streets 4.0 ErrMsg: Invalid Map File

SYMPTOMS
When Streets prompts you to insert the second compact, you receive
the following error message, or your computer may stop responding (hang)
and require a system reset.
Invalid Map File
CAUSE
Some CD-ROM drivers improperly cache a compact disc volume label even
though the directory (folder) structure is properly updated after you
insert the other program disc.
The problem occurs with programs packaged on more than one compact disc;
when you insert the second disc, the computer does not recognize the disc
change.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the methods below:
Method 1
Insert the other disc after you are prompted with:
Place the 'Automap Streets Disc 2' disc in drive x:
and before you click OK. This forces your CD-ROM driver to properly update
the cache to include the volume label of the newly inserted compact disc.
METHOD 2
- Double-click My Computer.
- Insert the other program disc.
- Double-click the CD-ROM drive.
- Press the F5 function key. This forces the CD-ROM drive to read the CD-
ROM drive again.
