Cannot Create Temporary E-mail Address

SYMPTOMS

When you are composing an e-mail message, if you click To, click New, and then click the In This Message Only option, you may receive one of the following error messages after you enter the address information:

  • One or more changes you made could not be saved. Not enough information is available to create this entry. Need at least a name, email address, and address type.
  • One or more changes you made could not be saved. Not enough information available to create this entry. Need at least a name, email address and address type.

    MAPI 1.0 - 23794 - [80040119]

NOTE: This error occurs if you are using Exchange, Windows Messaging, or Outlook.

RESOLUTION

Type the address directly in the To line.
