SYMPTOMS

The response icon displayed when you view attendees for a modified instance of a recurring appointment does not change, even if the user has accepted the invitation to the recurring appointment.

CAUSE

This is by design.

Any modification to an instance of a recurring appointment results in the loss of all inherited properties; this appointment is unique.
