PRB: Status Bar Text Incorrect for Report HelpFile Property

SYMPTOMS

Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.

When you click the HelpFile property in Design view of a report, the text that Microsoft Access displays in the status bar reads as follows:

     Name of Custom Help File for this Form

Note that the text incorrectly refers to a form rather than to a report.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access version 2.0 and Microsoft Access for Windows 95 version 7.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

Open any report in Design view.

If the property sheet for the report is not open, click Properties on the View menu.

Click the HelpFile property. Note that the status bar displays the following text:
