SUMMARY

Automap Streets lets you copy maps onto a hard disk for occasions when you do not have access to a computer with a CD-ROM drive. For example, you may want to copy Streets from your desktop computer to a portable computer, so that you can take a street map with you on a journey. Or if there is an area map you use regularly, you can use Streets without having to insert the compact disc.

MORE INFORMATION

Both of the Streets compact discs contain a Streets folder. The Streets folder contains sub-folders for different States. Disk 1 contains all the area maps west of the Mississippi River. Disk 2 contains all of area maps east of the Mississippi River.

The folders contain the abbreviated State name. For example, Washington state is abbreviated as WA. Each sub-folder of each individual state folder contains a sub folder for each area map available for the particular state. For example, the Greater Seattle, WA area map is abbreviated as SEA_WA.

To copy an Area to the hard drive, do the following:
  • Copy the map area folder, along with all the files within the folder, to the Mapdata folder. The Automap folder is located on the hard disk.
