  • The Microsoft Network versions 1.0, 1.05, 1.2

SYMPTOMS

During the upgrade to MSN, The Microsoft Network, version 1.2, you may be disconnected from MSN or your computer may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

These symptoms can occur if you are running other programs during the upgrade. The statement on the upgrade screen that you can run other programs during the upgrade is not correct.

RESOLUTION

Perform the upgrade with no other programs running on your computer. If this does not work, reinstall MSN from the Windows Setup Tab in Add/Remove programs located in the Control Panel.
