SYMPTOMS

A message that contains ISO 8859-1 (Latin-1) characters and is sent from one Microsoft Exchange Server computer to another across an X.400 connector may have some characters incorrectly translated.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0.
