SYMPTOMS

  • You cannot change the screen font that Microsoft Money uses.

    -or-
  • At higher screen resolutions, the font used in the Microsoft Money screens may not be as large as you want.

CAUSE

  • There is no direct way to change the default screen font in Microsoft Money.

    -or-
  • Your screen resolution is set too high.

RESOLUTION

If the font displayed is too small, you can make a global font change in Microsoft Windows that affects the font size used by Money or reduce the screen resolution.

Note Making global changes in Windows affects all programs that run in Windows. Some programs may not behave correctly with a different size screen font.

Because several versions of Windows exist, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, consult your product documentation to complete these steps. If your display resolution is set to at least 800x600, you can choose Large Fonts or even customize the font size:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Change the font size to Large Fonts.
    • Change the font size to Other.
    • Click Custom to choose a custom size, and then select a percentage for the size in the Scale fonts to be percent of normal size box.
  5. Click Apply, and then click OK.
  6. Restart the computer.
Note Microsoft does not recommend that you set the font size to larger than 150 percent because it may be difficult to navigate in some dialog boxes.
