PRB: Camera View in Particle Adopts Camera Information From 3D

Last reviewed: April 25, 1996
Article ID: Q148655
The information in this article applies to:
  • Particle included with Softimage 3D Extreme for IRIX, version 3.0
  • Particle added on to Softimage 3D for IRIX, version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

Particle renders in all window types, Right, Front, Top, Perspective or Camera. However, in the Right, Front, Top, and Perspective windows, Particle does not adopt camera information produced in Softimage 3D.

CAUSE

By design, the Camera view window in Particle adopts Softimage 3D camera information.

The Camera view window in Particle, unique to animation software, allows for camera information produced in Softimage 3D to be adopted into and displayed in Particle.

MORE INFORMATION

When camera information produced in Softimage 3D is to be adopted into Particle, the Camera window in Particle must be active in order for playback and render to display the adopted camera information.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
