SYMPTOMS

When you are signing up for MSN, The Microsoft Network, you may receive the following error message:

   Cannot Find File, DUNZIPNT.DLL

CAUSE

The file was not installed when Windows 95 was originally installed. This file is installed only by using the Custom option in Windows 95 Setup.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods:

  • Reinstall Windows 95 using the Custom option.
  • Extract the Dunzipnt.dll file from your original Windows 95 CD-ROM or disk set to the Windows\System folder. The Dunzipnt.dll file is located in the Win95_07.cab cabinet file. After you extract the file, run the MSN sign-up program again.
