Objects Upside Down on Envelope Printed to DeskJet 660C

Q149076

-------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher for Windows 95, version 3.0 -------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== When you feed an envelope into the Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 660C printer as indicated on the printer's feed tray, your text and logos are printed upside down. When you feed the envelope into the printer with the flap to the left, the text is printed correctly, but the envelope doesn't feed into the printer very well (the envelope is wrinkled or the flap is bent). NOTE: The PageWizard indicates that envelopes should be fed into your printer with the flap on the left. The diagram on the printer indicates that envelopes should be fed into the printer with the flap on the right. RESOLUTION ========== To resolve this problem, use either of the following methods. Method 1: Slip the flap into the envelope and feed it through the printer with the flap on the left. Method 2: Rotate the objects in Publisher 180 degrees such that they are upside down, and adjust the object's positions on the envelope (adjust them so that the objects appear as they would if you were looking at the envelope upside down). Feed the envelope through the printer as indicated on the paper tray. STATUS ====== Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. MORE INFORMATION ================ For information on how to rotate objects in Publisher, click Show Index in Publisher, type "rotating objects" (without the quotation marks) in the Type A Key Word box, and then follow the directions in the corresponding help topic to the right.
