SUMMARY

It is possible to make Particle emit as it flows along a Null Path in a Softimage 3D scene.

MORE INFORMATION

To make Particle emit as it flows along a Null Path, complete the following steps:

In Softimage 3D:

  1. Put a Null on a Path to create a simple Path animation.

  2. Reset the Null Path animation.

  3. Save the Softimage 3D scene.

Next, in Particle:

  1. In the File window under 3D Scene, load the scene from Softimage 3D.

  2. In Source Parameters, set Geom to Scene Object, and select Null to establish the link.

  3. Set Emission type to Path.

Now Particle emits as it flows along the Null Path.
